On February 11, 2019, there was started plans to don't use Windows Media Player base for SixMiceMedia because the media player would have been unnecessary to anyone and due to the fact that Windows Media Player has a closed source code that does not allow expanding the functionality of the program. The developing of SixMiceMedia was postponed.
